Projeto 4.03 - Estudo do Potencial antidiabeticas e antioxidante das especies de plantas de Areas Umidas brasileiras
A identificação das propriedades farmacológicas de espécies vegetais presentes nas Áreas Úmidas brasileiras permitirá o desenvolvimento de novas opções terapêuticas para o tratamento de diversas patologias, dentre estas o diabetes mellitus. Para isso, é de extrema importância a comprovação in vivo do potencial antidiabético destas plantas, através da realização de ensaios de triagem subcrônicos em modelos experimentais de diabetes. A posterior realização de testes in vitro permitirá a investigação do mecanismo de ação relacionado ao efeito hipoglicemiante encontrado nestes extratos vegetais.
